With this record ELECTRADRIVE were acknowledged as one of the AOR Bands in the whole world, starting from the great worlds by the “acute” and highly respected Dave Reynolds on Kerrang who gave them the (very rare) 5 stars, the maimuum saying. “Class is written through virtually every song on the record “ Great songs, very good performers, sillfull arrangements and top production (by Beppe Crovella) have made this record a “classic album” now remastered on CD for Electromantic Music’s Wholelottarock label ELEKTRADRIVE – DUE “At that time, I’ve just had my new recording studio when I was looking for producing a great band, with a bunch of good song, wishing to make an album that... could last in time. Choosing “Elektradrive” seemed “quite obvious”, as I knew well their talent in performing and in writing. The band was in a moment of wait and reflection and my idea of doing an album together got instantaneous positive reaction from them. Yeah! We realized that it was the right time for the band to get their “Due”, “Back on the road” to their personal “Sunset Boulevard” of creativity. The pre-production started and from then, all along the entire production, there was an almost endless interchange of ideas and promptings between the producer and the band: the studio was “The Magic Lamp”! “Breakin rules” while goin’ into everyhing that came to mind, not discussing if it was “Right or Wrong” , not caring about which side of “St.Valentin’es day “ (love or fight) was inspiring the moment... just doing it! And... “If you wish with your hear”t the good song arrives and so it was . Inspired by Boston’s Tom Scholz I planned to make a 48 analog tracks recording (not thinking at that moment of what would have been, some weeks later “a crazy mix with no automation” ... “an octopus on the mixing desk!”), “mockupping and recording” my personal “wall of sound”, with 16 vocal tracks by lead singer Elio, and a “wall fo rhythm guitars” by Simone goin’ even beyond the “already existing pleasure” of working with gifted musicians like them, Eugenio, Stefano and Alex. At the end, “eveyone did his duty”, the “hope for pleasure” was fully satisfied for what I think is a great album in the real sense of the word. I mean It’s surely a collection of really good “indipendent” songs, starting from the “single “A man that got no heart”, and that’s a fact, but beyond that, the songs fit so well together in a way that make the whole, a “unique shining compact visio”, a real, REAL album, that “feels alive”, that’s still sounding fresh and emotional , more than ever, after all these years! “Due”, a dream for “Everyone that likes to cruise...” with fantasy! Dream on! Beppe Crovella
